Empowering Voices: Link Logistics Hosts First Virtual Event for EMRG
Link Logistics recently hosted its first virtual event for the Ebony Multicultural Resource Group (EMRG, pronounced "emerge"), the firm’s employee resource group dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment for those who identify with or support the Black and African diaspora community.
The virtual event featured a panel including Yemi Alade, assistant vice president, Development, Link Logistics; Sharita Gullatt, assistant vice president, Real Estate Finance, Blackstone; Derith Jarvis, executive director, Black Commercial Real Estate Network (BCREN); and Nicole A. Todd, vice president, HR – DEI, Blackstone. The discussion focused on supporting Black professionals in the workplace and was moderated by EMRG's executive sponsor, Link Logistics chief development officer Britton T. Winterer.
"You don't always know what others are going through, and even small gestures can make a big difference," said Alade during a portion of the conversation that focused on allyship.
During the event, Link Logistics also announced its new role as a gold sponsor of BCREN, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to fostering an inclusive industry.
EMRG, established earlier this year, aims to provide ongoing professional development, recruitment, community building, and learning opportunities to support employees and invest in the next generation of Black leaders.
