Link Logistics CEO Luke J. Petherbridge Explores Last-Mile Warehouse Strategy on “Troubleshooters Podcast”
Link Logistics chief executive officer Luke J. Petherbridge appeared on a recent episode of the "Troubleshooters Podcast" with host Michael McGrath. The Australia-based podcast examines the lives and careers of business owners, entrepreneurs and leaders.
In the interview, Petherbridge spoke about the significant role Link Logistics plays in the U.S. economy and how the firm’s strategic focus on last-mile industrial real estate is moving the needle for its approximately warehouse 9,000 customers.
“With the speed of e-commerce, you can’t have goods sitting out in a large warehouse, way out in a rural location. It’s got to be infill,” said Petherbridge. “So our thesis has been to accumulate and own these infill, last-mile sites close to where workers and [consumers] live.”
Petherbridge also discussed how the foundational lessons he received early in his career inform his leadership style today. Touching on his career trajectory, Petherbridge emphasized the importance of remaining agile and open to change in the fast-paced world of business and, particularly, industrial real estate.
“Change is the only constant, and we at Link Logistics try to be as nimble and flexible as possible,” he said.
