Link Logistics’ Energy Solutions Named Sustainability Product of the Year
Business Intelligence Group has recognized Link Logistics’ Energy Solutions platform as a Sustainability Product of the Year in its 2025 Sustainability Awards. The annual awards program’s panel of expert judges honored Energy Solutions for its innovative approach to helping customers lower costs and reduce emissions.
A first-of-its-kind offering in industrial real estate, Energy Solutions is foundational to Link Logistics’ sustainability strategy. Launched in 2023 and operationalized for new customers in 2024 and 2025, the program combines in-house energy management expertise with capital investment to fund energy-efficiency upgrades, thereby transforming the traditional relationship between real estate operators and customers.
“Scaling decarbonization and energy efficiency requires a new model to overcome the ‘split incentive barrier’ that has long challenged industrial real estate,” said Tyler Deaton, senior vice president and head of Sustainability at Link Logistics. “Under the typical triple-net lease, customers manage their own utility accounts, leaving little incentive for landlords to invest in energy improvements. Energy Solutions flips that dynamic by enabling us to fund upgrades that both reduce emissions and lower customers’ utility bills.”
Energy Solutions has received multiple accolades in the past year, including the 2024 ENERGY STAR® Excellence in Data Innovation Award and the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2025 Better Buildings “Better Practice” recognition. It also earned recognition for Link Logistics in FreightWaves’ 2025 FreightTech 100 list, further signifying the firm’s commitment to developing and implementing innovative product technologies.
